A GTA heist, an AI disclosure rulebook, and a $2 billion measurement grab
This week in marketing had an eye-catching video from the Chicago Bulls, a couple of notable acquisitions reshaping who controls ad measurement, and a couple of brands responding publicly to moments they didn't fully control.

Campaigns of the week 📺
The Chicago Bulls send Benny the Bull on a Grand Theft Auto-style heist.
The Chicago Bulls built their 2026-27 schedule release around a GTA-inspired short film starring longtime mascot Benny the Bull. The story opens with Bulls forward Matas Buzelis contacting Benny with an assignment: retrieve the team's schedule. From there, Benny navigates a stylized, open-world version of Chicago that's packed with references to Bulls history. The schedule itself doesn't appear until the end-credits after Benny completes his mission. The release landed alongside all 30 NBA teams' schedule drops - a crowded, same-day news cycle that's increasingly pushed teams toward high-concept formats to stand out. Source: Clutch Points
Seeburger brings the humor to SaaS.
German-based integration software company Seeburger launched its first-ever U.S. brand-awareness campaign, created with agency of record The MX Group. The spot features an office worker who finally notices a coworker has been bringing his pet falcon, "Robert," to work every Tuesday. The bird of prey went unnoticed until the team adopted Seeburger's platform, giving them the bandwidth to "notice things." It's a rare bet on humor in a B2B category built on feature lists and credibility signals. Source: Roast Brief
LG puts AI in the background.
LG launched its 2026 "Life's Good" campaign under the message "Free up your mind." The hero film follows a real UK family stepping away from the mental load of daily life, while LG's AI-powered appliances quietly handle routine tasks in the background. There's no direct AI messaging anywhere in the spot. The campaign is informed by a global survey that found more than half (53%) of respondents said their mental load had increased substantially over the past year. The approach stands in contrast to a broader industry trend of brands putting AI capabilities front and center in their marketing. Source: Reel 360
Maple Leaf Foods turns one bite into a billboard blitz.
Hilary Duff was presented with a Schneiders Loonie Dog on stage at Toronto's RBC Amphitheatre and ate it live in front of the crowd. Schneiders' parent company, Maple Leaf Foods, and agency No Fixed Address turned the moment into a digital out-of-home campaign around the venue ahead of Duff's second show the next night, pairing lyrics from her song "What Dreams Are Made Of" with the $1 hot dog, a price point the brand has long been known for. No celebrity deal was paid, and the entire campaign was conceptualized, approved and deployed in under 24 hours. Source: BM Outdoor
